Bridgewater
College seeks full-time Resident Directors (male or female) for the
Department of Student Affairs beginning July 2008.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Resident Director is a 12-month, full-time, live-in position in
the residence hall. This is an entry-level position reporting to the
Director of Residence Life. Major responsibilities include:
supervision of 100-175 students, development of community among
residents; supervision of hall officers and 2-3 Resident Assistants;
creation and implementation of educational and social programming;
budget management; interpretation and enforcement of college
policies; crisis intervention; conflict mediation; and overall
facility management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree required. Previous residence hall experience
preferred. Interest in counseling or student personnel services
beneficial.
