Located on the third floor of the McKinney Center for Science and Mathematics, the Chemistry Department's floor plan was designed around a central instrument room which houses our NMR, UV/VIS, AA, GC, fluorescence spectrometer, and other instrumentation. Immediately adjacent are four research spaces and two large labs where students can set up long-term projects. Also on the floor are two General labs, two Organic labs (each with eight 2-person hoods), a chemistry library, two classrooms, four offices and a large stockroom including a central chemical storage area. |
