Alice Trupe directs the Writing Center and writing placement for first-year students. She teaches writing courses and YA (Young Adult) literature. Dr. Trupe is happiest in a computer classroom, and her office is located just behind the printer in the Writing Center. She reads widely, but her favorite texts are big nineteenth-century novels. Her current research interests are early literacy development and memoir writing. Dr. Trupe's book, Thematic Guide to Young Adult Literature, was published by Greenwood Press in 2006. She is working on a literacy autobiography and a book on homeschooling. |
