Larry C. Taylor is Assistant Professor of Organ and Piano at Bridgewater College, Bridgewater, Virginia. He holds a Bachelor of Sacred Music degree from Seton Hill University and Master's degrees in organ from Emory University and in piano from the University of Notre Dame. He is doing doctoral work in organ at the University of Cincinnati where he was the winner of the Strader Organ Competition and where he performed with the school's orchestra and concert choir.
Larry has taught music theory and ear training at the University of Cincinnati and ear training at Notre Dame. He has particular interests in "perfect pitch" ear training techniques as well as piano and organ methods that incorporate Alexander technique for graceful movement.
Larry also serves as organist/choir director at Luray United Methodist Church. He is married to Dr. Mary Jean Speare, Assistant Professor of Music History at James Madison University.
