We're pleased that you're interested in becoming a part of the Bridgewater community. We want to do everything we can to answer your questions, guide you through the transfer application process, and introduce you to Bridgewater College.

Consistently recognized for our quality by esteemed publications and journals -- including the eighth edition of Barron's Best Buys in College Education -- Bridgewater offers a distinctive culture grounded in leadership, character, innovation, and excellence. We are small in number of students and big when it comes to opportunity. You'll choose from a wide variety of majors, minors, concentrations/specializations, dual degree programs, and pre-professional programs, and have endless opportunities to apply your knowledge in hands-on settings.

Transfer students are an integral part of the total student body at Bridgewater. They bring a diversity of educational backgrounds that enrich and strengthen the overall academic experience for all students. You are a transfer student if you've been out of high school for at least one full semester and have attempted some college or university work for credit.

Whether you're thinking of transferring from a two-year or four-year institution, we'll put your mind at ease about transferring to Bridgewater. We'll help you to apply, secure housing, and apply for scholarships and grants available to transfer students. We offer outstanding scholarships for qualified transfer students based on cumulative GPA. Scholarships range from $5,000 to $9,000. Programs include a scholarship for membership in Phi Theta Kappa (an international honor society of two-year colleges) and a $2000-$5,000 grant for students with an associate degree. In addition, Bridgewater gives a transfer grant of $2,000 to all transfer students who transfer a minimum of 12 credits. Transfer students may also be eligible for other grants.

To begin the application process, we suggest you visit campus and complete a one-on-one interview with our transfer admissions counselor, Jackie Spicer. She will answer your questions and provide you with the materials you need to make the process go smoothly. Individual interviews are available Monday through Friday, and some Saturdays. Interviews are most productive when students bring a copy of their college transcript(s) for an initial evaluation of transfer credit.
