I. FROM THE OFFICE OF ALUMNI RELATIONS

PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS, OPINIONS, AND SUGGESTIONS
The Office of Alumni Relations needs your help. To better serve you, we would like you to take a few minutes to complete a survey about what type of events, programs and services you would like to see us provide to BC alumni. This survey can be completed online at: http://www.bridgewater.edu/alumni-survey. Or, for a printed version of the survey, call us 540-828-5451 or email alumnews@bridgewater.edu. As a bonus, if you complete this survey, we'll send you a thank you gift as a small token of our appreciation.

ALUMNI VOLUNTEER SERVICE = "DAY OF SHARING"
The BC Alumni Association encourages alumni, students, and friends to join together in volunteer service projects in their hometowns in a national BC "Day of Sharing" on Saturday, March 3. As a service volunteer, you will provide valuable help to the various agencies as well as build good will by representing the college in various communities.
If you would like to be involved, check out our compiled list of possible volunteer opportunities or identify an agency or project in your community that you can volunteer with. For volunteer opportunities and details visit: http://www.bridgewater.edu/alumni-service.

RECOGNIZE AND THANK TWO RETIRING BIOLOGY PROFESSORS
Two Biology Department professors, Dr. Michael Hill and Dr. Sarah Swank, are retiring at the end of this semester. Dr. Hill came to Bridgewater in 1972, and Dr. Swank came in 1981. Honor them and all their years of outstanding service and dedication to the College by sending pages for a "book of letters" for each of them. Recognize and thank them for their service and the impact they had on your life, or simply wish them well in their future endeavors. Mail individual flat 8.5x11 pages to: Office of Alumni Relations, College Box 40, Bridgewater, VA 22812. Or email us your pages at alumnews@bridgewater.edu. In addition, you are invited to make a special gift in honor of Drs. Hill and Swank. All money collected will be used for special projects within the Biology Department. You can enclose your gift with your letter if you wish to make a donation. Questions? Contact the Office of Alumni Relations at: 540-828-5451 or email alumnews@bridgewater.edu .

ELECTION NEWS IS IN THE AIR
Election candidacy is big news these days. With that in mind, it's time to elect five new members to your BC Alumni Association Board of Directors. If you don't receive this brochure, contact the Office of Alumni Relations at 540-828-5451 or email alumnews@bridgewater.edu. You can also download a pdf version of the ballot.

BRIDGEWATER FUND: WHY GIVE? WHY ME?
There is no better way to create immediate impact for an institution you care about. If you have a stake in the success of Bridgewater College, please consider making a gift to the Bridgewater Fund. The Fund is used immediately for BC's highest priorities: financial aid, scholarships, faculty support, student programs and more. Every gift, no matter the size, counts toward the goal of $700,000 this year. We are currently 66 percent of the way there and need your help to go the rest of the way. To make an easy and secure online gift, visit: http://www.bridgewater.edu/alumni and click on "Give to BC". Thank You!
