FAMILY WEEKEND
Calling all BC students' families! Family Weekend is Oct. 27-29, and the reservation deadline is this Friday, Oct. 20. The weekend schedule is packed full of activity for the whole family, from movies and a FanFest on the campus mall, to coffee with President Stone, meetings with professors, a musical presentation and, of course, football versus Washington & Lee. The seniors will be receiving their class rings in a special ceremony, and Theatre at Bridgewater College will be presenting "The Threepenny Opera" on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and again in matinee on Sunday afternoon. For more information on the production, click here.
ALUMNI OFFICE UNDERGOES REORGANIZATION
Citing a commitment to further cultivate and strengthen relationships with alumni, President Stone recently announced to the Bridgewater College Alumni Association Board the College's decision to reorganize Alumni Relations. Effective Jan. 1, 2007, Alumni Relations will again be integrated with the Office of Institutional Advancement, where functions and activities complement alumni-related programs. Ellen Layman, current director of Alumni Relations, will become the director of special projects and will take on several writing projects. She also will continue to handle Church Relations and Ripples Society activities. The College has begun its search for a new director of alumni relations. For the job posting, click here.
CAMPUS MOURNS PROF. PAULEY

Your expressions of sympathy may be sent to her husband, Steve Pauley, at 440 Rainbow Ridge, Faber, VA 22938.
BRIDGEWATER FUND GOAL SET
The Bridgewater Fund has an ambitious unrestricted goal of $700,000 for 2006-2007, a 6 percent increase over last year. This fund provides immediate resources for financial aid, library improvements, faculty support and more. As such, your unrestricted gift to Bridgewater College is one of the most important gifts you can make each year.
At the end of September, we were 15 percent toward our annual goal. We need your gift to reach 50 percent by the end of December. To have your gift count immediately, please consider making a secure online credit card gift by visiting www.bridgewater.edu and clicking on "Give to BC." There, you will find a Click & Pledge button that will take you through the process. For more information, contact Kathleen Pantaleo, Director of the Bridgewater Fund, 540-828-5456 or kpantale@bridgewater.edu.
