The Bridgewater College women's cross country team placed fifth out of nine teams at the ODAC Championship meet held Saturday at Washington & Lee.Brittany Wells led the Eagles with a 12th-place finish in a time of 25:31.67. Wells was named to the All-ODAC second team. Erim Murphy was next for the Eagles in 36th place (28:32.64), followed by Chelsea Goss in 40th (28:53.83), Aimee Murphy in 45th (29:15.77) and Stacey DeHaven is 57th (31:10.59). Washington & Lee Kat Telfeyan placed first to help lead the Generals to the team title as they edged Roanoke by one point. Telfeyan was named ODAC Runner of the Year. Lynchburg's Jennie Pernisi was named the Rookie of the Year. W&L's Becca Taylor was named Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Kris Hoey was named the Coach of the Year. [Championship Website]. |
