  • Eagles named to field hockey academic team - 03/12/2008

  • NFHCA logoThe 2007 ZAG/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad was released Wednesday by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association and six members of the Bridgewater College team were recognized.

    Eagles named to the squad included Kendra Anderson, Rachel Doria, Kasie Haga, Kalah Hess, Brianna Jacques and Kathleen Tamberrino.

    The National Academic Squad program recognizes those collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 through the first semester of the 2006-07 academic year.

  • JacquesBridgewater College freshman Brianna Jacques was named to the VaSID College Division field hockey all-state second team released Wednesday.

    Jacques led the Eagles in scoring with 23 points on 10 goals and three assists. Jacques ranked sixth in the ODAC in both points and goals scored. [All-State team]
  • Jacques, Hess named to All-ODAC second team - 11/09/2007

  • JacquesHessBridgewater College freshmen Brianna Jacques and Kalah Hess were named to the All-ODAC Field Hockey second team released Friday.

    BC teammates Kendra Anderson, Elizabeth Sullivan and Kelli Worst received honorable mention on the All-ODAC team.

    Jacques led the Eagles in scoring with 23 points on 10 goals and three assists. Jacques ranked sixth in the ODAC in both points and goals scored. Hess was second on the BC team in scoring with seven points on two goals and three assists.
  • Eagles lose in ODAC quarterfinals - 10/27/2007

  • fhlogoWashington & Lee advanced to the semifinals of the ODAC field hockey tournament with a 7-0 victory Saturday afternoon over Bridgewater College in quarterfinal play.

    Kendall Korte and Melissa Dolan scored two goals apiece to lead the winners.

    Bridgewater finishes its season with a 4-13 record.
  • Eagles meet W&L in ODAC tourney - 10/23/2007

  • fhlogoThe Bridgewater College Eagles will travel to Lexington to meet the Washington & Lee Generals in the first round of the ODAC field hockey tournament.

    The contest will be played Saturday. The starting time is 3 p.m.

    W&L is the No. 3 seed in the tournament while the Eagles are seeded No. 6. W&L won the regular season meeting, defeating Bridgewater, 3-1.
