Since 2003, the Eagles have finished fourth or better at the nine-team Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships. Over that span, four Bridgewater golfers have finished in the top five of the individual results at the ODAC Championships.
Dr. Lee Williams has earned two Coach of the Year awards (2003 & 2006), while coaching seven all-conference first or second team players since 2002.
Over the last four seasons, the Bridgewater golf team has won 12 tournaments and finished in the top half of 20 more. The Eagles won another tournament and had two other top half finishes during the fall of 2006. |
 David Branshaw, named a District 3 GCAA All-America in 1991, is currently playing on the PGA Tour. He won the Nationwide Tournament Championship on Oct. 30 in Prattville, Ala., with a 12-under par. In 2004, he played in 31 PGA Tour events, making 11 cuts and finishing in the top 20 twice. In 2005, on the Nationwide Tour, Branshaw made 17 cuts in the 24 events played, placing in the top 20 in 11 tournaments. In 2006, his best outting was a 16-under par performance at the B.C. Open tying him for fourth and earning him $132,000. He finished this past year ranked 119th on the money list with $706,346 in earnings. |
