Donnie Fulk, Head Coach
Entering his 17th season as head coach at Bridgewater College, Donnie Fulk has compiled a record of 396 wins and 22 losses.
Under his direction, the Eagles have won ODAC regular season titles in 1994, 2006 and 2007. Fulk was named the conference coach of the year in 1996 and 2006 and VaSID state coach of the year in 2006 and 2007
The 2000 team finished with a 32-10 record and received the program's first-ever national ranking, reaching as high as No. 19 in the Division III poll.
In 2006, the Eagles finished with a 34-9 record and were ranked in the South Region poll for much of the season. The 2006 team finished the year with a .386 batting average to rank No. 1 in the nation in the final Division III statistical rankings.
In 2007, the program reached new heights with a BC record 40 victories against just eight losses. The Eagles placed first in the ODAC regular season standings with a 17-1 record and advanced to the conference tournament championship game where they lost to Lynchburg College. The team received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III tournament, the program's first-ever bid to the national playoffs. The Eagles advanced to the round of 16, losing in the regional title game to DePauw. Bridgewater was ranked No. 19 in the final 2007 NFCA Division III poll. The Eagles also won another statistical title, leading Division III in runs scored with 8.48 runs per game.
In addition to coaching softball, Fulk coached the men's soccer team from 1991-96. His others duties include supervising the athletic department's work-study program and managing the athletic department facilities and fields.
Fulk resides in Bridgewater with his wife Jane. They have two married daughters and one granddaughter and one grandson.
Priscilla Halterman, Assistant Coach
Priscilla Halterman begins her third season on the Bridgewater College softball staff as an assistant coach and pitching coach.
A 2003 graduate of Roanoke College, Halterman enjoyed a very successful four-year career with the Maroons. During her career at Roanoke, Halterman helped lead the Maroons to three ODAC titles, two Atlantic Region championships and appearances in two NCAA Division III Championship Tournaments.
Halterman was selected to the ODAC All-Conference team in 2001 and 2003. She was also named the ODAC Tournament Most Valuable Player and received second-team All-Region honors in 2001, ending that season with an ERA of 0.79. She holds the Roanoke record for the lowest opposing batting average in a season at .171in 2000. She also holds the ODAC record for the highest career winning percentage of .870. She ended her Roanoke career second in total wins, strikeouts and ERA.
After graduating in 2003, Halterman completed her student teaching in the fall of 2004 through a Department of Defense School in Germany. After returning, she began working as a seventh-grade English teacher in Rockingham County. Her first coaching experience was as the pitching coach at Spotswood High School during the 2004-05 season.
Halterman has been playing or coaching softball for more then 15 years, making numerous appearances in ASA, NSA and Pony National tournaments. In high school, her team advanced to the VHSL regional tournament three times and she was selected to the All-Region first team following her junior season. That year she helped lead the Fauquier Falcons to the state quarterfinals.
Halterman is originally from Fauquier County, Virginia, where her family still resides. She enjoys giving pitching lessons and working as a teen mentor during the summer.
