Coach Shane Stevens is entering his 24th season at Bridgewater, having earned Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men's coach of the year nine times and another four times on the women's side.
Since the turn of the twenty-first century, the Bridgewater track and field program has seen 12 individuals become NCAA championship qualifiers, with seven going on to earn all-america honors.
The men's outdoor team has won six ODAC championships, while finishing in the top half of conference the last four seasons. The women won the ODAC title in 1998.
The men's indoor team has won four ODAC championships, the latest coming in 1997. They have finished second in the conference six of the last twelve seasons. |  Brandon Copeland placed seventh in the long jump at the 2006 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. His best jump in the competition was 23 feet, 4.75 inches. Copeland earned all-america honors. |
