Bridgewater College defeated the Lynchburg College Hornets in four sets Tuesday evening in ODAC volleyball action.Erika Dirnagl and Mandy Hill each finished with 12 kills to lead the Eagles attack. Hill also recorded four blocks with Dirnagl and Katie Baker adding three blocks each. Tricia Davis led the team in assists with 40 and digs with 22. The Eagles are now 13-4 overall and 4-2 in the ODAC. |
The Bridgewater College volleyball team came up just short against Washington and Lee University, losing in five sets 25-21, 20-25, 25-19, 21-25, 9-15 in a back-and-forth ODAC contest on Saturday.Erika Dirnagl led the Eagles with 12 kills and two blocks. Brittney Wittmer and Mandy Hill added 10 kills each and Katie Bakter finished with nine kills and four blocks. Tricia Davis recorded 41 sets and 15 digs. The Eagles are now 12-4 overall and 3-2 in ODAC play. |
The Bridgewater College volleyball team got back on the winning track Thursday by sweeping Ferrum in three straight sets. The Eagles won 25-20, 25-19, 25-16.Erika Dirnagl led the Eagles with 12 kills and Mandy Hill added 10. Tricia Davis contributed 34 assists for BC. |
The Bridgewater College volleyball team suffered its first ODAC loss of the season Tuesdsay night, falling to Roanoke College in five sets (25-22, 25-21, 21-25, 22-25, 13-15).The loss drops the Eagles to 11-3 overall, 3-1 in the conference. Bridgewater will host Washington and Lee on Saturday, September 27th at 11:00 a.m. |
Bridgewater College junior Erika Dirnagl has been named the ODAC Volleyball Player of the Week by the conference office.Dirnagl averaged just over 3 kills per game as the Eagles finished with a 4-1 record on the week. The Eagles won their only ODAC match, defeating EMU in straight set as Dirnagl led the team with 13 kills. BC then went 3-1 at the BC Invitational. Dirnagl finished with 39 kills in the four matches and was named to the all-tournament team. |
