Coaching Staff


Greg Spector, Head Coach

Greg Spector will begin his first season at the helm of the Bridgewater College volleyball program.  He succeeds Mary Frances Heishman who retired after the 2007 season.

Spector brings a wealth of coaching experience to the Bridgewater position. He has coached at various levels, include college, high school, club and international teams.

In 2008, Spector was the head women’s volleyball coach for Maccabi USA Sports and recruited nationally for top-level players to play at the international level. He served as the team’s assistant coach in 2001.

From 2003-2005, Spector was an assistant coach at Division I Marshall University where he worked specifically with middle hitters and blocking. Prior to that position, he was an assistant women’s volleyball coach at Urbana University, a Division III university in Ohio.

Prior to accepting the Bridgewater job, Spector was owner and director of recruiting for Indy Juniors Volleyball Club in Indianapolis.

Spector received a bachelor of science degree in applied sciences kinesiology from San Diego State University. He received his master of education degree in 2003 from Urbana University.

He and his wife Lisa live in Bridgewater with their two children.





Matt Maynard, Assistant Coach


Matt Maynard, a native of Mystic, CT.,  will begin his first season as an assistant coach with the BC volleyball program.

Maynard brings a wealth of volleyball experience to the Eagles program having coached the past three years with Indy Juniors Teams.  In 2004 and 2005 Maynard coached the 16's regional teams and then in 2006 coached the 16-2's teams. 

Maynard graduated from Virginia Tech in 2003.
