Bridgewater College recognizes the academic achievements of high school seniors and transfer students through its ACE program. Each year, the College commits significant institutional resources for grants and scholarships to assist students. In 2007-08, the College provided over $15 million in institutional aid to over 95% of its students. Need-based aid was also available to many students who completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Freshmen ACE Program
Consideration for the ACE program is based on an applicant's academic performance in high school (public, private or home-schooled), ACT or SAT scores, class rank, and other factors from the applicant's record. Scholarship and grant awards are made to full-time students (minimum of 12 credit hours). First-time freshmen who maintain an acceptable cumulative grade point average will retain their ACE awards each academic year.
To be considered for an ACE award, first-year freshman applicants must take the ACT or SAT, apply and be accepted to Bridgewater College. Initial scholarship awards are made after December 1, and complete financial aid packages are sent beginning in mid-March following the March 1 priority deadline for the FAFSA. The FAFSA is the approved application for need-based institutional, federal and state financial aid programs. All students are encouraged to file the FAFSA in order to be considered for the full range of financial aid programs.

The following chart illustrates ranges of awards that Bridgewater College freshmen received this year and should be used for informational purposes only. In reviewing the chart, please note that not all students fit precisely into one of the ACE scholarship ranges. The ranges serve as a guide, and final ACE scholarship awards for incoming freshmen will be based on each applicant's record.
