Student Work Programs


Federal Work-Study
Must submit a FAFSA and be eligible for work on the basis of financial need.
Positions are assigned by the Financial Aid Office.
Hourly wage varies from $5.85 to $6.30. A student employee's pay rate is determined by the supervisor.
Students are paid on the 10th of each month for earnings from the previous month.
If Federal Work-Study is listed on your aid package, please complete and return a Student Work Profile to the Financial Aid Office.
Bridgewater College Work
If you were not offered Federal Work-Study but would like to work on campus, complete and return a Regular Work Application to the Financial Aid Office.
Job placement priority is given to students who have been awarded Federal Work-Study on the basis of financial need.
Openings in departments are dependent upon the number of returning students wishing to renew their contracts.
Your name will be placed on a waiting list in case there are shortages of student workers at the beginning of each term.

Summer College Work
Complete and return a Summer Work Application to the Financial Aid Office.
Priority is given to 2008-2009 Bridgewater College students returning to the college in Fall 2008.
Applicants must be willing to work full time.
Positions will be confirmed no sooner than April 15, 2008.

Federal W-4 Form
  • Form will be enclosed in your work contract packet
  • Complete, sign and date the form
  • Return form to the Business Office, Flory Hall
Virginia VA-4 Form
  • Form will be enclosed in your work contract packet
  • Complete, sign and date the form
  • Return form to the Business Office, Flory Hall
I-9 Form
  • New student employees at Bridgewater College will receive a form in their work contract packet
  • Complete, sign and date the form
  • Take to the Business Office with IDs as listed on the back of Form I-9. Most students use their Social Security Card and Driver's License.
