Tutoring Services


Tutors and study groups are available to Bridgewater College students, by request. The goals of Tutoring Services are to promote effective learning skills and habits.

Tutors:
  • are BC students with a grade point average of at least 3.0.
  • are paid by the college.
  • are recommended by the faculty
Tutoring and Study Groups:
  • are 60 minutes in length.
  • are recommended to meet twice every week - learning takes practice.
  • are "working" periods - full hour used to review course material.
  • are small(2-4 students)
  • are an active, effective learning strategy
Requesting a Tutor or Study Group/Contacting a tutor

If contact about a tutor is not made within five working days, recontact Dr. Studwell.

Tutors are assigned and both the student and the Tutor are notified via E mail of the tutoring arrangement, with contact information- name, phone, E mail and residence. - Students contact tutors to arrange meeting times and location. It is the responsibility of the student seeking tutoring to initiate contact with the tutor.

Tutors can also be contacted using the online "Find a Tutor/Study Group" form on this website.
