Freshman Women Transition Group
The transition to college
is both exhilarating and a bit overwhelming at times. Let's face it, it is
thrilling to meet new people, experience greater independence and discover new
interests. However, along with this excitement, also comes some anxiety about a
harder work load, being away from the comforts of home and finding one's own
niche. Counseling Services is pleased to announce the formation of a new support
group to assist freshman women in creating connections and easing the stress of
this time of transition. We hope this group will provide a safe place to
celebrate joys, sort through confusion and work through concerns. The group is
open to all freshman women and will be held on campus once a week. Date and
time will be determined by the group members and facilitator. If you are a
freshman woman or know of any freshman who would benefit from this valuable
group experience, please contact Jill Langridge, x5379 or
jlangrid@bridgewater.edu
Need a group, but don't see it listed? Give us a call, we'll see what we can do to accomodate your needs.
