As you gather your information for your paper, make sure to keep track of the essential information about each source.
Books:
Author(s), title, subtitle if there
is one, edition (if it
says "revised edition" or "3rd edition," etc.), city of
publication (choose one), publishing company, year of publication.
Special Considerations regarding books:
If you are using a chapter from a book in which each chapter is authored by someone different, you need: author(s) of chapter, title of chapter, page numbers for the chapter you're using, editor(s) of book, title of book, edition if relevant, city of publication, publishing company, year of publication.
If the book was written in a language other than English and you're using a translation, you need the translator's name.
If the book is part of a series, and a series title and name of editor(s) are listed on the title page, record this information for your bibliography as well.

Magazines:

numbers, title of magazine, date of publication (if the magazine appears weekly,
record day and month and year; if it appears monthly, record month and year).

subscription service, name of the library that subscribes, the Web address for
