Bridgewater College seeks a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer for a 10-month position beginning August 2013.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical athletic training services for any of the more than 700 NCAA
Division III athletes in the Bridgewater College intercollegiate sports program.
Additionally, a successful candidate will act as a preceptor for the Commission on
Accreditation of Athletic Training (CAATE) accredited undergraduate athletic training program.
QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates will have earned a master’s degree in athletic
training or related field. Additionally, candidates must possess a Board of Certification,
Inc. endorsement as a certified athletic trainer, Commonwealth of Virginia License as an
athletic trainer (or eligible) and be certified in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
Candidates must demonstrate commitment to excellence in athletic healthcare and a desire to work closely with undergraduate athletic training students.
GENERAL INFORMATION: Bridgewater College is an independent, private liberal arts college founded in 1880. Located only two hours southwest of the Washington, D.C. metro area, Bridgewater has a total enrollment of nearly 1,800 students representing 28 states and 10 countries. Bridgewater admitted women from the time of its founding and was the first private liberal arts college in Virginia to do so.
