Well of Hope Community Service Project
Join the Bridgewater College community in a special service project taking place on campus this spring in honor of the inauguration of Dr. David W. Bushman. Well of Hope International (WOHI) is a grassroots, non-governmental organization focused on ministering to the needs of widows and orphans in Kiserian area, Kajiado County, just south of Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa.
The Well of Hope Shoe Project is funded by the generous donation of shoes, unselfish giving of personal hours by many volunteers and financial contributions that help offset the shipping cost to Kenya. During the spring semester, the BC community is collecting 5,000 pairs of shoes for the Well of Hope Shoe Project, as well as $2,500 to go towards purchasing a shipping container to send the shoes to Kenya. Promotional events are taking place throughout the semester.
