The Center for Sustainability is a campus focal point for sustainability-centered activities; it works across campus to support and promote sustainable practices and programs in education, research, operation, community involvement and campus life. The center promotes the following principles as its top priorities:

  • Recommending and coordinating sustainability program
  • Enhancing energy conservation and recycling program on campus
  • Serving as a resource for students and faculty wishing to work on sustainability initiatives
  • Researching and recommending grant opportunities related to sustainability

In addition, the center:

  • Provides on-campus employment opportunities to students
  • Offers internships to students
  • Organizes conferences and workshops
