Bridgewater College seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry for a 1 year position starting in August 2013.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The ability to teach Physical Chemistry, General Chemistry and related labs preferred. Applicants from other areas of Chemistry will be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree required, PhD preferred. We are interested in candidates with a commitment to excellence in teaching.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Bridgewater College is an independent, private liberal arts college founded in 1880. Located only two hours southwest of the Washington, D.C. metro area, Bridgewater has a total enrollment of approximately 1,750 students representing 28 states and 11 countries. Bridgewater admitted women from the time of its founding and was the first private liberal arts college in Virginia to do so.

Bridgewater offers bachelor of arts and bachelor of science degrees in more than 60 majors and minors, along with multiple concentrations, pre-professional programs such as medicine and law, dual degree programs and teacher certification.
