Classification of Students and GPA Requirements

How students are classified (whether freshman, sophomore, etc.) can be found in the Academic Catalog on page 37. Explanation of academic credit, grade point averages, the grading system and the required GPA for each academic level can be found in the Academic Catalog on pages 37-39.

Academic Policies

Academic policies - covering registration, class attendance, classification, academic credit, the grading system, minimum scholarship standards, overload policy, degree requirements, administrative review, academic grievance academic services, family educational rights and privacy act (FERPA) and additional information can be found  in the Academic Catalog on pages 36-42.

Academic policies - covering class attendance, schedule and course changes, add/drop period, registrar services, academic support center, personal development portfolio, convocations and lyceums, service-learning, student service board, leadership institute, honor council, academic grievance policy and other policies can be found in the Eagle Student Handbook on pages 2-11.

Academic Probation and Suspension Policies

Information regarding academic probation and academic suspension policies can be found in the Academic Catalog on page 38.

Financial Aid Policies

  • Sample Aid Package - The top half of the first page provides a listing of standard charges and common awards.  The bottom half of the first page provides a listing of next steps that students often need to complete in order to finalize their financial aid.  The second (back) page describes requirements associated with the various awards.

    FA Package – Sample

  • Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy - This policy is required by federal regulations.  It includes earned credit and GPA progression requirements as shown in the Academic Catalog on page 59.

  • Return of Title IV Funds – This policy is also required by federal regulations and requires return of federal financial aid funds if a student withdraws from school prior to completing 60 percent of a payment period (semester).  This policy can be found in the Academic Catalog on page 59.
