Showker Award for Internship Excellence
Did you complete an internship or practicum in calendar year 2016?
Was it at least 120 hours (credited or non-credited)?
Has your internship prepared you to be a leader?
You might be eligible for a $250 award.
Apply before Friday, January 6, 2017. You must submit your final paper from the internship or practicum, a letter of recommendation from your site supervisor and a personal essay addressing how your experience helped develop your leadership skills and gave you new insight into the nature of leadership.
Up to three students will receive the Showker Award for Internship Excellence and a prize of $250 each. The winning students will give a 10-12 minute presentation on their internship or practicum experience at the convocation on February 7.
Sponsored by the Zane D. Showker Institute for Responsible Leadership, the Showker Award recognizes the leadership development of Bridgewater College students. It encourages the acknowledgement of leadership in supervisors and the connection of the internship experience to the liberal arts education at Bridgewater College.
