April 2014 Alumni Newsletter
April 2014 Issue
Spring has finally arrived at Bridgewater College! The changing of the season highlights not only the beauty of our campus, but also the approach of the celebrations that mark the conclusion of our academic year. Commencement exercises for the Class of 2014 are fast approaching, and this year we will feature Professor Emeritus Steve Watson as our baccalaureate speaker and the Rev. Dr. Jeff Carter ’92 as our commencement speaker. These two individuals represent well the core mission of Bridgewater College, and I’m sure our graduates will enjoy hearing them speak. But even as one class graduates, we are already forming the new class of students who will arrive next August. April featured two successful Spring Orientations, welcoming students who will make up the class of 2018. April also featured our annual celebration of Earth Day, featuring alumnus Dan Reed from Project Forward. This season of renewal gives us the chance to look forward to the future, renewing our care for the Earth and anticipating the future classes of BC Eagles. The end of the semester may be just around the corner, but even as we prepare to bid the class of 2014 a fond farewell, we’re already thinking about what’s next for Bridgewater College.
With best regards,
David W. Bushman, Ph.D.
