Local Colleges Present Joint Student Art Exhibit | ||

BRIDGEWATER, Va. — "Three (3)," a collaborative student exhibition of Eastern Mennonite University, James Madison University and Bridgewater College art departments, will be held Oct. 15 – Nov. 12 in the Cleo Driver Miller Art Gallery at Bridgewater College. An artists' reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, in the Miller Gallery. The reception and exhibit are open to the public at no charge. This is the third exhibit in a joint effort to showcase art work from colleges that are geographically close and encourage conversation between the individual schools. The first exhibit was held at JMU and last year's was at EMU. Each college will show nine pieces of work. Students exhibiting from Bridgewater are Emily Pflaum, Christi A. Wonderley and Reba Downor, a 2008 graduate. Showing pieces from JMU are Christine Bolon, Daniel Morgan and Alissa Walsh. Exhibiting work from EMU are Mark Fenton, Megan Good, Kari Martin, Courtney Miller and Rebecca Souder. The Miller Gallery is located on the second floor of the Alexander Mack Memorial Library. The Gallery is open 8 a.m. to midnight Monday Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and 3 to 11 p.m. Sunday. | ||
