Woyzeck is directed by Scott Cole, associate professor of theater at Bridgewater College.
Written when Büchner was 23 years old and never finished, Woyzeck is a powerful drama about an individual trapped in a world of oppression and inequality. Because the character is driven mad by unfeeling military discipline, callous medical experiments and his own jealousies, Woyzeck resonates as much today as when it was written more than 180 years ago.
