2017 Philosophy Awards Presented at Bridgewater College

Bridgewater College students Grey Robinson and Zachary Wall were recognized by the department of philosophy and religion for academic excellence at the college awards ceremony.

Robinson received the Philosophy Award for the most extensive record of excellent academic work in philosophy courses. Robinson, a philosophy and religion major with a minor in peace studies, is the daughter of Jay and Anita Robinson of Glade Spring, Va.

She serves as president of the student body and is Sergeant at Arms for the campus chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity. She is a member of the Interfaith Board and the Spiritual Life Board.

Robinson graduated on May 20. She will serve as assistant coordinator for the Church of the Brethren work camps in Elgin, Ill.

Wall was selected as the winner of The Ruth and Steve Watson Philosophy Scholarship Award. The award, presented to a rising junior or senior, rewards past and future contributions to philosophical inquiry. The scholarship is for the 2017-18 academic year.

Wall, a rising senior psychology major with a minor in neuroscience, is the son of Kenneth and Kathy Wall of Lititz, Pa.
