Welcome Messages for Dr. Bushman
I am very pleased to hear that you have been selected as the next president of an institution known for it's great faculty and leaders. I strongly believe that Roy Ferguson and the other leaders of this college have left in your hands every opportunity for success at Bridgewater College. As our next president, I hope you continue to "put students first" and continue to grow our community of excellence. While I know you will be under much attention, criticism, and stress over the next year, I strongly encourage you to get to know the student body very well. Among us are leaders, activists, ambassadors, athletes, and genuinely great people that can't wait to get to know you on a personal level. As I'm sure you are used to, being from a small college, we take great pride in the fact that we know our faculty as peers and colleagues and they take a great deal of interest in us as well. I hope to see you at concerts, sporting events, and other student body events on a regular basis. Know that you and your wife are now part of the Bridgewater College family, a family that we take so much pride in. But most of all, I hope that you both fall in love with the school that I have grown to call home over the last few years and will continue to call home forever. Welcome to BC and welcome to the family!
Once an Eagle, always an Eagle.

Welcome to Bridgewater! Super excited about an entomologist as the new president. I work at the Smithsonian's National Zoo so let me know if I can help with an event here or at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institue in Front Royal, VA.

Congratulations on your appointment, and welcome to Bridgewater College. I am both an alumnus and a recently retired faculty member (35 years!). I'll hope that retired/emeritus faculty will be included in the festivities! I'm thrilled that an academic has accepted the call!

Welcome to Bridgewater College. I attended Bridgewater in the early 50's. Many years have passed and the College has grown, however, it remains friendly and each person connected wears a smile. Thank you for your interest in Bridgewater College. I do know that the football team is better now than when I played.
~ Robert, Class of 1956

My name is Brooke and I'm a freshman this year. I'm majoring in Health and Exercise Science. I'm also a member on the track team. I just wanted to welcome you and let you know that I look forward to meeting you. I've found everyone on the Bridgewater faculty and staff to be extremely nice and helpful and I wanted to return that. Welcome to Bridgewater :)
