James Clark Receives English Honor

The Outstanding Senior Award in English was presented to James Clark during the annual awards convocation on May 1 at Bridgewater College.

The award includes a certificate and a cash gift. Clark was selected based on excellence in work performed in the English major.

Clark, a senior English major with a minor in mathematics, is from Chesapeake, Va. He is the son of George and Vivian Clark from Chesapeake.

Clark is a member of the Pre-Law Society and the Multicultural Leadership Program. He serves as a tutor in mathematics and logic and is also a tutor for the Writing Center. He serves on the college’s Strategic Planning Committee. He is a four-year member of the varsity football team.

As a junior and senior, Clark received the John W. and Lurene M. Durna Endowed Scholarship, which is presented to students who have achieved superior academic standards and good campus citizenship and plan on pursuing a career in law.

Clark was selected for the 2012 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
