Baccalaureate Information

Bridgewater’s Baccalaureate service will be held Friday, May 15, 2015 at 6 p.m. under the tent on the Campus Mall.

What is Baccalaureate?

Baccalaureate is a worship service honoring the graduating class. The service will last approximately one hour and includes multiple hymns, musical selections from the choir and the Baccalaureate message.

Tickets are not required for the Baccalaureate service on Friday evening.

Dinner will be held following the Baccalaureate service, at approximately 7 p.m., in the Main Dining Hall, Kline Campus Center. All graduates will be covered as long as they present their college ID at the door. Guests will pay at the door, at a rate of $8.50 for adults and $5.50 for children ages 5-12. You will be able to pre-pay for the dinner by purchasing tickets in advance.

Beginning Monday, May 11, 2015, seniors will be able to pre-purchase dinner tickets from the cashier at the entrance to the Dining Hall. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted. Parkhurst will also be available following Commencement rehearsal on Thursday, May 14, 2015. Seniors can purchase tickets at that time with either cash or a check made out to Parkhurst Dining.

There will also be an opportunity for guests to purchase tickets before the Baccalaureate service (the cashier will be set up on the Campus Mall, weather permitting). Cash and checks will be accepted on the Campus Mall, and cashiers will be available at the entrance to the Dining Hall where guests can pay with a credit card.
