Service-Learning
Enhance learning and strengthen civic responsibility
Bridgewater College’s Service‑Learning Program helps connect students’ classroom learning with applications outside class in “real world” situations. Service‑Learning connects the College to the local community through reciprocal relationships in which students, faculty, staff and community members work collaboratively and are mutually respectful of each entity’s strengths and needs.
Students complete at least 10 hours of service learning each year.
Service‑Learning projects have included:
- Amigos Unidos (tutoring Latino students at an area middle school)
- Personal and Community Health Course Partnership with Our Community Place
