Campus Police and Safety Department

The Bridgewater College campus police and safety department is a recognized police agency by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services. The chief of police and sergeant are sworn police officers who have received their training for certification through the central Shenandoah Criminal Justice Training Academy.
The chief of police and sergeant have full law enforcement authority on campus and can investigate crime, make arrests and enforce all laws. The campus is patrolled seven days a week, 24 hours a day by campus police and safety officers. Their responsibility is the security of the campus and the protection of the campus community and Bridgewater College assets.
