We're pleased that you're interested in becoming a part of the Bridgewater College community.
We'll do everything we can to answer your questions and guide you through the transfer application process. You can find an overview of our transfer student requirements here. Bridgewater College offers articulation agreements with three Virginia Community College System (VCCS) institutions.
Bridgewater College is recognized for its student-centered atmosphere and has been named "One of the Best Virginia Colleges and Universities in the Southeast" by The Princeton Review. It offers a distinctive culture grounded in leadership, character, innovation and excellence. We are small in number of students and big when it comes to opportunity. You'll choose from a wide variety of majors, minors, concentrations/specializations, dual degree programs and pre-professional programs, and have endless opportunities to apply your knowledge in hands-on settings.
Transfer students are an integral part of the total student body at Bridgewater. They bring a diversity of educational backgrounds that enrich and strengthen the overall academic experience for all students. You are a transfer student if you've been out of high school for at least one full semester and have attempted some college or university work for credit.
Whether you're thinking of transferring from a two-year or four-year institution, we'll put your mind at ease about transferring to Bridgewater. We'll help you to apply, secure housing and apply for scholarships and grants available to transfer students.
To begin the application process, we suggest you visit campus and complete a one-on-one interview with Jackie Spicer, associate director of admissions. She will answer your questions and provide you with the materials you need to make the process go smoothly. Individual interviews are available Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. Interviews are most productive when students bring a copy of their college transcript(s) for an initial evaluation of transfer credit.
