Agnes Mumbi Chitambo (Angie) is the Vice President of 

Zambia Knowledge Bank (ZANOBA). She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Zambia Encyclopedia of Culture and Technology project that the organization will embark on soon. 

Angie was born in Mpika.  She attended primary, secondary school, and undergraduate at the University of Zambia in Lusaka.  She studied at, and obtained a Master of Library Science degree from the University  of California, Los Angeles, in 1987.   She worked for the University of Zambia Library until 1992, when she relocated to Mafikeng, South Africa.  She has conducted  research in the areas of  library and information services to minority groups,  literacy, gender and development.

Her hobbies include traveling, writing, reading, and gardening.  She appreciates the arts in general (visual, performed etc).  Since August 1999, she has been living in Windhoek, where she works as Head of User Services in the University of Namibia Library.
