Ann R. Rainard
Programmer/Analyst
I am
currently a part-time programmer/analyst for the CE Shull Information Technology
Center here at Bridgewater
College. My primary
responsibilities in the IT Center are to assist the various offices in using Datatel's Colleague and Benefactor
administrative software, which includes answering daily Help Desk tickets,
testing new releases, producing enhanced reports and creating needed
applications. I also analyze other requests from the various offices and
perform the needed programming assignments. I am also responsible for creating
and maintaining the software for Bridgewater
College's SCHEV reports, as well as
uploading and releasing the reports electronically to SCHEV. I also prepare the
NSLC reports 3 times per term.
I began working for Bridgewater College
as a student programmer in the summer of 1984. After graduating magna cum laude
in 1987 with a BA in Math and Computer Science and a minor in Philosophy and
Religion, I moved to Northern Virginia for 3 years where I first worked for a
government contractor and then later for a private company as a
programmer/analyst. I then returned to the Shenandoah Valley and to Bridgewater College in the Spring of 1990.
