Introduction to Writing and Rhetoric
Fall 2008
Welcome to ENG 140, an introductory course in writing. This course is designed to provide an overview of and foundation in types of writing taught in upper-level writing courses. We will sample personal reflective writing, workplace writing, writing in electronic environments, creative writing, and critical writing.

Texts for the course focus on the impact of
writing in individuals' lives.
We will also read essays, book excerpts, and articles on practicing the craft of writing.
