Assignment for 2/16: Read excerpt from The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn: You may start with Chapter 16--second half, if you wish, but the first part of the chapter gives a bit more context and relates to The Hobart Shakespeareans--and read through Chapter 18. Look up the Hatfield-McCoy feud, using Internet resources. Log entry: comment on reading.

Our schedule is a work in progress. Because we will use a number of DVDs and read several of Shakespeare's plays, in addition to reading Shakespeare-inspired materials, I have roughed out the order of our topics of discussion, but I shall be filling in the details a couple of weeks at a time as the semester progresses.
