Writing Assignments for ENG102, Summer 2008

  • 3 thoroughly revised critical essays based on reading

  • 1 imaginative or critical text or Web site based on reading and discussion

  • a research-based argumentative paper of 8-10 pages

  • a reading log: 2 pages on each reading for the course that we will use as the basis of our class discussions of readings

  • portfolio cover essay

  • in-class essays at the beginning and end of the course

  • reading quizzes as needed

To get full credit for each essay and the research paper, you will need to meet deadlines for drafts and revisions.
