In the fall of 1985, Connie joined the staff at James Madison University as a computer programmer in Academic Computing.   During her nearly 18-year tenure at JMU, she held various progressive positions in Information Technology as Programmer/Analyst, Computer Systems Lead Engineer.  In 1997, Connie completed her Masters in Business Administration at JMU, and in 1998, also joined the JMU College of Business as an adjunct Instructor, teaching courses in “Systems Architecture” and “Intro to Unix and Perl”.   She joined the staff at Bridgewater College in June of 2003.

In 1984, Connie married Barry Minnick, a native of Timberville, VA.  They lived just outside Bridgewater for a year or so, and moved to Dayton in 1986.  In 1989, twins, Brett and Danielle were born.   In April of 2000, the family moved back to Bridgewater, onto the home farm and in the house where Connie grew up, just south of the bridge on route 42.   They are enjoying raising horses there and helping with the farm.

Connie is an active member and leader at Dayton United Methodist Church, and also is an active 4-H volunteer with the local 4-H Bit and Bridle club, where Danielle is active in Horse Judging, Horse projects, and various other things.  Barry is the Scoutmaster of Troop 38 in Bridgewater, and Brett is an active scout, currently working on the completion of his Eagle Project.
