Dr. James W. Eaton

Dr. James Eaton joined the Bridgewater College faculty in 1985 and has been Professor of Economics since 1994. He received a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from the University of Arkansas, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Missouri- Columbia.

His professional interests are in U.S. economic history and the economics of professional and collegiate team sports. He teaches courses in these areas, as well as in principles of economics, money and banking, intermediate macroeconomics, introductory econometrics, history of economic thought, and environmental economics. He did a teaching stint in Dalian, China with the Brethren Colleges Abroad program and entertains thoughts of teaching somewhere in China again some time. He enjoys reading, traveling, music, and baseball.
