Chromosome Work

The lab adjacent to my office is set up with two phase contrast microscopes for chromosome work. The one I am using is the one I got through a grant from the National Science Foundation.   The one you see on the right is plugged through a VCR onto a TV screen where I can record the best chromosomal spreads on the slide.  I then can show these chromosome spreads to my students in class.  Click here to see the detailed technique.
