| The Chromosome Morphology of Trillium nivale L., snow trillium, collected from Highland Country, Virginia, shows morphology which is fairly similar to the published information on the chromosomes of Kentucky Trillium nivale by Bailey (1958). The pictorial evidence presented by Dr. Bailey utilized a Fuelgen stain technique similar to mine, but his chromosomes were subjected to nucleic acid starvation, and this can alter how the published morphology can appear.
