1. "Constructing Web-enhanced Courses Using BC's On-line
Resources"

An orientation to the educational technology available for use
with Bridgewater College courses. Tutorials and ideas for using the wide variety of on-line
resources available will be presented. Participants can pick from
on-line response forms, on-line quizzes, synchronous communication
using the BC-MOO, threaded discussions
on the BC-BBS, and more.

"Introduction to Web Authoring for Professors"
Thursday, August 24, 8:30-10:30 AM

This workshop is designed for instructors who have never, or at
least not recently, made a web page. Using FrontPage 2003, participants
will make a personal professional web page or a beginning web site
for a course employing text, graphics and links to other web pages.
3. "Making On-line Quizzes with JS Quiz Maker"
Thursday, August 24, 1:30 - 2:30 PM

Participants in this workshop will receive detailed instruction
and hands-on experience at using "JS Quiz Maker" (v. 3) to construct
on-line quizzes. Please bring some quiz questions to this workshop
in order to make a live quiz or two for your classes.
4. "Working
with Digital Video Files for Courses"
Thursday, August 24, 3:00-4:00 PM

Many of the digital cameras sold today have the capability of
taking a few minutes of video. How can one handle edit these files
so as to place titles and credits on them and make them small enough
to be accessed through a web page? Windows Movie Maker
(installed as part of the Windows XP operating system) can
enable users to do this editing and more. Participants will gain
hands-on experience with video editing Movie Maker.
SUMMER ED-TECH WORKSHOP TO BE HELD ON CAMPUS,
MAY 30-JUNE 2, 2005The annual summer workshop,
"Expanding Your Academic Technology Horizon," on using educational
technology to enhance courses will be held on campus from Tuesday,
May 30, through Friday, June 2. Each afternoon will be devoted to
introducing and assisting faculty in using the variety of
computer-oriented and web-based technologies available here at
Bridgewater College. These include web page authoring, online
quizzes, interactive PowerPoint presentations, threaded discussions
using the BC-BBS, and real-time discussions on the BC-MOO.
Sessions will meet in MCK 226 from 1-4 p.m. Contact Richard
