As the national conversation continues to turn toward the cost of higher education and student debt, Bridgewater College remains positioned as one of top post-secondary institutions in terms of the most bang for your bucks.

WalletHub, a personal finance website, recently released its 2019 College & University Ranking report, which determined the top-performing higher education institutions at the lowest cost for undergraduates.

For its ranking, WalletHub compared 951 U.S. colleges and universities in seven key dimensions: student selectivity, cost and financing, faculty resources, campus safety, campus experience, educational outcomes and career outcomes.

Bridgewater College ranked 279th overall, and came in 70th in the South region, out of 321 schools. The top categories for the College were student selectivity and career outcomes.

“At Bridgewater, we are committed to providing the best possible education at an affordable cost so that our students have the skills needed to be the innovators, leaders and global citizens in a rapidly changing world,” said Michael Post, vice president for enrollment management. “Receiving this ranking is a reflection of our continuing efforts, the excellence our faculty bring to the classroom and the hard work our students put into their futures. This recognition from WalletHub shows Bridgewater’s deep commitment to ensuring our students achieve their goals of earning a college degree from a premier Virginia private college in an affordable way.”
