'A Collage' Concert Set for Feb. 19 at Bridgewater College

Bridgewater College will present “A Collage” concert on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 3 p.m., in the Carter Center for Worship and Music. It is free and open to the public.
The concert includes the Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Christine Carrillo, assistant professor of music and director of instrumental music.
The Jazz Ensemble will perform a variety of music selections. Among the pieces are Soul Man by Isaac Hayes and David Porter and Buckjump by Troy Andrews and Mike Ballard. The Jazz Ensemble will also perform Things Ain’t What They Used to Be by Duke Ellington and featuring Philip Meador, a senior communication, technology and culture major with a minor in music, from Roanoke, Va.
The Concert Choir and Chorale will perform under the direction of Dr. John McCarty, assistant professor of music and director of choral music.
The Concert Choir will perform Over the Rainbow, arranged by Andy Beck. The Chorale will perform Nda Wana, arranged by Michael Barrett and When the Earth Stands Still by Don MacDonald.
The Concert Choir and Chorale will join the Jazz Ensemble for Sing, arranged by Mark Brymer.
The program also includes the A Cappella Choir, Chordially Yours and the A Cappella Fellas. Several instrumental ensembles will also perform.
