Commencement Rehearsal will be held on Thursday, April 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. under the tent on the Campus Mall.
In the case of inclement weather, an alternative location will be announced. During rehearsal, graduates will be given additional information regarding the Baccalaureate and Commencement events, have a cap and gown demonstration, will review forming the processional and receive instructions for the Commencement service, will pick up their reserved-seating tickets and can pre-purchase guest tickets for the Baccalaureate Reception.
Following rehearsal, reserved-seating tickets will be taken to the Information Desk at Kline Campus Center. If you are unable to make it to rehearsal, you will need to pick up your tickets from that location. Someone will be available to hand out tickets through the morning of Commencement. Please be sure to bring your college ID if you are picking up your tickets from the Information Desk.
Rehearsal is mandatory – if you cannot attend, you will need to email email@example.com.
Graduates will be able to pick up their honor cords from the Registrar’s Office on Friday, May 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
If you are participating in Baccalaureate, please speak with your guests regarding plans to attend the reception. We would like an estimate of the number of people to expect and will be requesting this information following Commencement rehearsal, as you pick up your reserved-seating tickets. If you are unable to make it to rehearsal but are planning on attending the reception, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know. Please note, Parkhurst will be on-hand following Commencement rehearsal for graduates to buy reception tickets for their guests. If you know that you and your guests plan to attend the Baccalaureate reception, you may want to purchase their tickets following rehearsal to avoid any lines at the door the evening of Baccalaureate and to take advantage of the pre-purchasing price. If you are interested in pre-purchasing reception tickets following rehearsal you will need to pay with either cash or a check made out to Parkhurst Dining.
Additional information regarding the Baccalaureate Reception can be found on the Baccalaureate page.
