Three Bridgewater College seniors were recognized for excellence by the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science for 2022.

The department presented the outstanding senior in mathematics award to Kelsi Listman, the outstanding senior in computer science award to Jonathan Williams and the outstanding senior in information systems management award to Ti’Andreana Williams.

Listman, a psychology and mathematics double major from Vienna, Va., was a member of BC United, a peer education and bystander education organization. She was also a tutor in the Math Center as well as an academic coach. Listman was a member of the Flory Honors program and completed an honors project last spring titled “The Significance of a Viral Post on Social Media” with Associate Professor of Psychology Dr. Erin Miller.

After graduation, Listman is considering graduate school for mathematics or going straight into the workforce. She is looking into governmental positions or considering teaching mathematics.

Jonathan Williams, a computer science major from Penn Laird, Va., has been involved in the Computing Club and the Seekers small group book study hosted by College Chaplain the Rev. Dr. Robbie Miller. He was also a member of the Flory Honors program. At BC, Jonathan Williams completed an honors project with Associate Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science Dr. Eric McGregor titled “Chrome Chat Overlay Extension.”

After graduation, he plans to continue his internship at InterChange, a full-service warehousing and logistics company based in Harrisonburg, Va., while continuing to search for job opportunities.

Ti’Andreana Williams, an information systems management major from Stedman, N.C., has been a member of the Black Student Association and African Student Association, as well as production manager for the student-programming board Eagles Production at BC.

After graduation, Ti’Andreana Williams hopes to find a full-time software engineer position with plans to later pursue a master’s program in cybersecurity.
