Personalized Visit: September – November

Our admissions counselors are traveling to fairs and visiting high schools in September, October and November. During these months we will have group information sessions followed by a student-led tour.

  • Monday - Friday at  9:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.
  • Saturdays (beginning in September through the first Saturday in May): 8:15 a.m., 9 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
    October 7: Family weekend - info sessions only, no student led tours
    October 14: Campus closed
    October 16: Campus closed
    October 28: Homecoming - info sessions only, no student led tours
    November 25: Campus closed

If you’d like your visit to include meeting with a professor or a coach, attending a class or visiting the BC Equestrian Center, please give us at least a one-week notice in order to make the best possible arrangements. Our Saturday appointments often fill quickly, so call us as early as possible to get your first choice.

Personalized Visit: December – May

A personalized campus visit is usually two hours long and includes an information session with an admissions counselor, followed by a student-led campus tour.

Note: March 2-11 is spring break. No students will be on campus but the admissions office is open.

Summer Visit: May - August

Summer is a great time to get a “first glimpse” of Bridgewater College.  Schedule a visit to meet with an admissions counselor where you will gain insight on the admissions process, academics, financial aid and student life. Bring your questions and we will have answers for you.  A tour of campus is included and the entire visit takes about 90 minutes.

We encourage summer guests to come back for a second visit when school is in session to experience Bridgewater when it’s in full swing.

  • Friday: 9:15 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. (The admissions office will close at noon on Fridays)

Open House

A visit to Bridgewater College is a must for you to see and appreciate all that the College has to offer. Our faculty, staff and students invite you and your family to visit during one of our Open Houses and to see firsthand the difference a Bridgewater College education could make in your life. Open houses are scheduled on Saturdays with activities beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 2 p.m.

Each Open House includes:

  • Administrative panel for parents
    Includes information about academic affairs, admissions, student life, financial aid and information technology.
  • Student panel for prospective students
    Prospective students ask a panel of current students questions regarding academics, student life, meals, sports and other questions they may have regarding campus life.
  • Meeting with faculty, staff and coaches
    Held in the Funkhouser Center. Prospective students may visit with faculty from their area of academic interest, receive information about admissions and financial aid, and meet coaches from their respective sports.
  • Lunch and campus tour

Chemistry Day

On Friday, March 16 join us for a visit in the Department of Physics at Bridgewater College.

This is a great opportunity to hear from department faculty and students about what is means to be a physics student at Bridgewater College and where you might go from here.  Attend classes and experience the Bridgewater College learning process firsthand.

Lunch will be provided.

  • 9:30 a.m. Registration, meet at third floor lounge in MCK for introductions
  • 10-10:20 a.m. Organic Chemistry (310) in MCK 338
  • 10:20-11 p.m. Dept. Tour with Dr. Ken Overway
  • 11-11:20 p.m. General Chemistry (162) in MCK 337
  • 11:20-12 p.m. Q & A with chemistry faculty
  • 12-12:50 p.m. Senior Project Presentations – (MCK 100)
  • 1 p.m. Lunch (dining hall)

Family and Consumer Sciences Day

Interested in child development, family life education or gerontology?

On Friday, March 16, 2018, join us for a visit in the Bridgewater College Family and Consumer Sciences Department to explore these programs.
This is a great opportunity to hear from department faculty and students about what it means to be a family and consumer sciences student at Bridgewater College. Attend classes and experience the Bridgewater College learning process firsthand.

  • After 1:45 p.m. Talk with department chair and/or explore campus

Rather than traveling to the BC campus, stay in your local area and we will come to you.

Sophomore and Junior Spring Visits

Bridgewater College will be holding group admissions sessions for sophomore and juniors from March 26-29 and April 2-6 at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Visit Bridgewater and learn about academics, student life, athletics, financial aid and admissions followed by a student-led tour of campus.  The visit lasts approximately 2 hours.

If you are a senior or a transfer student, please call the admissions office at 540-515-3753 to set up an individual visit.
